Would you remember to pay a paperless bill?

You would it if was from Alliant Energy!

A concern we hear from customers is that, without a paper bill, there’s no reminder to pay. The truth is that Paperless Billing customers actually get more reminders.

When you switch to Paperless Billing, you’ll automatically receive email reminders when your bill is available to view, then again when it’s due and, if necessary, past due. That’s at least two reminders per bill! You can add your phone number to receive reminders by text as well.

How does Paperless Billing work?

  • Instead of a physical piece of mail, you’ll receive an email each month when your bill is ready to view, due or past due.
  • Follow the link in the email to My Account where you can view your total and pay online.
  • Let us do the record keeping for you! View up to 36 months of past bills and payments in My Account. You can also print copies for your personal files.

Switch to a paperless bill today!

Option 1. Enroll online in My Account. My Account is where you’ll go to see your monthly bill if you switch to paperless. Enroll today, and keep an eye out for the checkbox that says “Paperless bill” so that you can select it.

Already have My Account? Log in and click “Switch to paperless.”
