14: Pink (Valentine’s Day)

15-19: Red, black, green (Black History Month)

20-24: Red, white and blue (President’s Day)

24-28: Blue and yellow (Solidarity with Ukraine)

March

1-7: Yellow, orange, green, blue (Alliant Energy colors)

8: Purple (International Women’s Day)

9: Orange (World Kidney Day)

10: Blue (Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month)

11-16: Yellow, orange, green, blue (Alliant Energy colors)

17: Green (St. Patrick’s Day)

18-31: Yellow, orange, green, blue (Alliant Energy colors)

25: Lights off in the evening for Earth Hour

*The days the Tower is lit with Alliant Energy's colors are still open to be replaced with alternative lighting suggestions.

Shine a light on your cause or event

The Alliant Energy Tower lights up the downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa skyline with multi-colored lights throughout the year. Do you have a specific holiday, event or cause you'd like us to highlight? Share your ideas with us!

  2. If your desired dates are free, submit the Tower Lighting Suggestion Form
  3. If your idea is approved, we'll let you know!

Please note: Submissions will be evaluated based on how they support the community and align with Alliant Energy's company values. Before you submit an idea, please consider whether the event or cause embraces respect and diversity, provides community support, or advocates for conservation/sustainability. Birthdays/Weddings/Anniversaries cannot be accommodated. We will not be able to accommodate all submissions. The schedule is subject to change based on unforeseen events.
