Financial support available for Alliant Energy customers in need

Company donates $4 million to Hometown Care Energy Fund

MADISON, Wis. (Nov. 16, 2023) – For the third consecutive year, Alliant Energy has donated $4 million to its Hometown Care Energy Fund to help customers who struggle financially to pay their energy bills. The funding is split evenly between customers in Iowa and Wisconsin.

Alliant Energy encourages customers in need of financial assistance to apply for the funds to assist with paying and managing their energy bill. If approved, customers can receive up to $500 annually.

“We take great pride in serving our customers," said Angie Leyden-Van Gundy, senior manager, Customer Support Services at Alliant Energy. “Contributing $4 million to our Hometown Care Fund is just one more way we’re helping our customers, especially those in need.”

The Hometown Care Energy Fund is supported by funds from Alliant Energy shareowners as well as voluntary contributions from employees, retirees and customers. Those interested in donating to the Hometown Care Energy Fund can learn more at
