We pay up to 70% of the total project costs directly to the contractor.

Business Energy Solutions helps qualified businesses make energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration improvements and HVAC tuneups. We pay the incentive directly to you – the contractor. We'll pay you up to 70% of the total project cost based on the amount of electricity your customer saves (you receive $0.14 per kilowatt-hour). The customer pays the balance.

What’s in it for you?

  • Grow your customer base.
  • Earn money as your customers save electricity.
  • Get free use of the program's proposal software, which determines customer eligibility and calculates rebates.
  • Create a simple and seamless experience for you and your customers.

For contractors:

Requirements for business customers are available here.

How the program works

  1. Contractor evaluates customer’s eligibility and equipment.
  2. Contractor develops a project proposal and presents to the customer.
  3. Customer accepts proposal.
  4. Contractor completes and submits the project.
  5. Alliant Energy pays the incentive to the contractor.
  6. Customer pays the contractor the remaining project balance.
