Business Energy Solutions for contractors
We pay up to 70% of the total project costs directly to the contractor.
Business Energy Solutions helps qualified businesses make energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration improvements and HVAC tuneups. We pay the incentive directly to you – the contractor. We'll pay you up to 70% of the total project cost based on the amount of electricity your customer saves (you receive $0.14 per kilowatt-hour). The customer pays the balance.

Requirements
For contractors:
- Contact a program representative at 1-319-237-3856 or email BES@alliantenergy.com.
- Complete a program training session.
- Submit participation agreement and W-9 form.

How the program works
- Contractor evaluates customer’s eligibility and equipment.
- Contractor develops a project proposal and presents to the customer.
- Customer accepts proposal.
- Contractor completes and submits the project.
- Alliant Energy pays the incentive to the contractor.
- Customer pays the contractor the remaining project balance.

Contractors participating in the Alliant Energy Instant Discount program can still participate in Business Energy Solutions and qualifying equipment may be eligible for incentives in both programs.
