As an emergency responder, you are an important partner in our pipeline public awareness program and our electric safety initiatives. Your safety is a priority!
Our free online training program, Responding to Utility Emergencies, provides critical knowledge and preparation to help you avoid hazards and save lives.
In the course, you will learn how electricity and natural gas systems work, and how to safely respond to electrical and natural gas emergencies. A final assessment and certification are available.
Community public safety presentations
We offer natural gas and electric public safety presentations at no cost to the communities in which we are privileged to serve natural gas and/or electricity. You can request further information or schedule a presentation for your staff by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling us at 1-800-ALLIANT (800-255-4268). We ask that you schedule a presentation no less than four weeks before your desired meeting date.
