• The smart thermostat must include occupancy sensors and be optimized to predict weather patterns based on historical trends and forecasts.
• Alliant Energy must provide the primary energy to heating or cooling equipment.
• The thermostat must be ENERGY STAR® certified.
• The rebate may not exceed 50% of the purchase price.
• There's a limit of two smart thermostats per household, per year.

The age of your home determines your rebate. 

• We consider homes five years or older existing homes.
• We consider homes less than five years old new homes.
