Accident in Sheboygan

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, four Alliant Energy employees responded to an electric outage in Sheboygan. At approximately 1:10 p.m., during their outage restoration work, two Alliant Energy line technicians were injured while working to restore power.

The Alliant Energy injured individuals were transported for medical attention. It is with a heavy heart that we share one of our employees, Keith Menke, has passed away and Bruce Biller was transported to the burn unit in Milwaukee.

We are keeping the employees and their families, loved ones and friends in our thoughts.

We are still in the early stages of understanding the cause of the incident and are cooperating with the appropriate authorities in the investigation. We will provide updates as we have them.

Our number one concern is the safety of our customers, employees and those doing work for us.
