We began constructing the Wever Solar Project in mid-2023 and completed it in late 2024. We expect over the life of the project it will generate over $3.6 million in local school district revenue, over $700,000 in total county property taxes for Lee County and over $5.7 million in total property taxes for all taxing districts. In addition to the solar field, the site also hosts the Wever battery energy storage system.
