Getting started

Push the start button while your foot is on the brake pedal.

Next, place your vehicle in drive mode and press down gently on the accelerator to begin driving. (It may take a few times driving to get used to the improved acceleration of the vehicle.)

Charging stations

The majority of our facilities now have onsite EV charging stations. Typically this includes Level 2 chargers and at least one DC Fast Charger.

How do I use the charging stations?

FLO charging stations: You will need a FLO RFID card to initiate a charge session at the FLO charging stations. The card and charging stations look like this:

Please contact Fleet Central to get a FLO RFID card: 1-877-282-7900 or [email protected].

ChargeLab/BTC: Please use the ChargeLab app and sign up with your Alliant Energy email address to access the stations.

If you are at public station or ChargePoint station, please use the RFID that says Wex/ChargePoint.

See the Battery and Charging Info section below for charging instructions.

See the Charger locations and additional resources section below to locate Alliant Energy and public charging stations.

How long does it take to charge an EV?

Battery size, charging capacity and the amount of charge left affect how long it takes to charge an EV.

Level 2 chargers can take up to 10 hours to charge to 80%. Level 2 chargers should be used for daily charging needs, by charging vehicles overnight.

Our fleet DC fast charging stations can charge a typical vehicle in 1-2 hours.

Who to contact
