Since 1998, Alliant Energy Foundation has invested $62 million dollars in local community organizations and initiatives. Each year, the Foundation supports projects that help families thrive, communities innovate, and that protect the natural beauty of Iowa and Wisconsin.
Working together – company and foundation, paired with the passion of our employees and retirees – we improve the quality of life in communities where Alliant Energy has a presence. We build partnerships rooted in diverse perspectives that bring more equitable outcomes and greater impact.
The Alliant Energy Foundation is an independent, nonprofit philanthropic organization. The Foundation is funded solely by shareowner dollars from Alliant Energy Corporation.

What we stand for
We focus our giving on strategic areas that align with our values and initiatives in communities served by Alliant Energy.
- Through our support of Hunger & Housing, we ensure families don’t have to choose between a roof over their head or a meal on the table.
- By focusing on Workforce Readiness, we prepare children and adults with the fundamental skills they need to grow into successful careers.
- Protecting, restoring, and creating access to natural habitats are part of our Environmental Stewardship funding so that everyone can fall in love with Iowa and Wisconsin.
- We evaluate all programs we fund through a lens of Diversity, equity and inclusion, focusing on programs that intentionally include and serve minoritized people.
- We support first responders by providing funding for essential emergency response equipment, critical for their work and Safety.
- To ensure everyone can live in a home free of violence, we support the Well-being of children and families looking for a fresh start.
