Today’s weather and system conditions are such that we are at a Systems Normal status. This message will be immediately updated with specific information if a warning or an interruption is issued.

Current weather forecasts for the week of June 20-24 indicate extreme high temperatures across the MISO footprint. MISO currently forecasts electric load to approach or exceed all-time peaks. Conditions could arise that cause MISO to require participating utilities to decrease their loads at any time during the week of June 20-24. As a result, Alliant Energy may be required to issue an Electric Interrupt to our participating Electric Interrupt tariffed customers at any time during the week of June 20-24. Additionally, Alliant Energy will monitor load and market price thresholds that may trigger an economic interruption. If weather and/or load forecasts change, Alliant Energy’s plans may change in accord with MISO requirements.
