Alberto Ruocco
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Alberto Ruocco is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Alliant Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: LNT). He joined the company in September 2023, bringing many years of experience in information technology and the utility sector. Alberto’s leadership guides the selection, implementation and optimization of technology solutions that facilitate essential aspects of our strategy and enhance our cybersecurity. In his role, he leads teams leveraging new technologies that play an increasingly critical role in how we deliver on our purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Prior to joining Alliant Energy, Alberto served as Principal of AGR3 Digital, where he advised boards of directors, executive teams and individuals on digital technology solutions and management. He was also partner and CIO at West Monroe Partners, a digital technology consulting firm. Alberto also served as Senior Executive Partner at Gartner, where he advised several CIOs in the utility, auto and food manufacturing industries.
Alberto worked directly in the utility industry as CIO of American Electric Power (AEP). He spent six years guiding their technology group, developing a technology roadmap, building a cybersecurity organization and introducing analytics capabilities.
Alberto has a passion for the utility industry and its role driving economic development with a commitment to sustainability.
Alberto earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Yale University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
