Get a rebate up to $1,500 when you install a Level 2 charging station

Qualifying commercial, community and multi-family electric customers will receive up to $1,500 for a networked Level 2 charging station. Networked charging stations are connected to Wi-Fi to provide more data about energy use, charge fees to customers and set limits on who can use the charger.

Rebate eligibility restrictions

  • Only non-residential customers whose accounts are in good standing are eligible for this rebate.

  • Rebate is available only for Level 2 (208- and 240-volt) EV charging stations.

  • Rebate applies to Level 2 EV charging stations purchased and installed between Jan. 1, 2022, and Dec. 31, 2022.

  • Used, refurbished or rented EV charging stations are excluded from this rebate program.

  • Charging stations purchased as part of an EV bundle or otherwise included in the price of the vehicle do not qualify for this rebate.

  • EV charging stations gifted or won as part of a raffle or giveaway do not qualify for this rebate.

  • Projects must demonstrate permanence.

  • Level 2 EV charging stations must be Energy Start, Underwriters Laboratories or Electric Testing Laboratories certified.

  • No more than two rebates may be paid to each Alliant Energy customer without prior approval provided funding is available.

Required attachments with application form

  • Itemized sales receipt or invoice for the Level 2 EV charging station.

  • Installation receipt or invoice for the Level 2 EV charging station.

  • A completed W-9 form.
