Are you looking for a creative gift this holiday season, something innovative and sustainable that will keep giving for years to come? Consider giving the gift of solar.
Alliant Energy’s Community Solar program gives you the opportunity to purchase solar blocks on behalf of other Alliant Energy customers, making them the perfect gift for friends, family, your favorite small business or a local nonprofit.
Your recipient will earn bill credits as soon as you’ve purchased their blocks in full and the solar garden is operational – and they’ll keep earning credits every month for the 20-year life of the project. Now that’s a gift that keeps on giving!
In Iowa, solar blocks in our 4.5-megawatt Cedar Rapids Community Solar Garden are $395 each and available today. In Wisconsin, our first community solar garden in Fond du Lac is fully subscribed, but customers can join the wait list to be notified of future community solar opportunities. For more information and to subscribe, gift or donate, visit alliantenergy.com/communitysolar.
Whether you’re a pro gift planner or last-minute procrastinator, consider adding the gift of solar to your list this holiday season. It’s the perfect gift for your environmentally conscious friend who can’t install panels where they live, the food pantry you want to support for years to come, or that relative who’s impossible to shop for.
