It’s easy to start your service online. Just make sure you have your Social Security Number (SSN) or Federal Tax ID.

Don’t have an SSN or Tax ID? No problem — just give us a call at 1-800-ALLIANT (800-255-4268).

Enroll in My Account

Once your service starts, enroll in My Account to access your account online, pay your bill, check your energy usage and request alerts.

You’re going to need your new account number. You can find it in the email we sent when you started services.

When will my bill come and what will be on it?

Your first Alliant Energy bill will arrive approximately 30-45 days after your services start. Bills will be mailed to your home address, or you can sign up for Paperless Billing through My Account to receive statements digitally.

How can I pay?

We have a variety of ways to pay your energy bill. Pick the one that works best for you!

  • Online – Log into My Account to make an instant payment.
  • Mobile App – Download the Alliant Energy app on Google Play or the App Store.
  • Text – Follow these easy steps to set up payments by text.

What if I forget about my energy payments?

Do you wish you could pay your bill without having to remember each month? Turn on Automatic Payments. 

Want to know your bill amount in advance? Set up Budget Billing so you pay the same amount each month. If you live in Wisconsin, you can also take advantage of our Fixed Amount Bill program.
