What should I do if an LED’s rating is not available from ENERGY STAR OR DLC?
- A customer, dealer or manufacturer can submit a LED Approval Form to Alliant Energy so the unit can qualify for a rebate.
- To qualify, lights must meet certain quality standards. Proof of this submission is required for approval from Alliant Energy.
- Download an LED approval form. After submitting a LED approval form, Alliant Energy will either accept the specific make and model for a rebate, or reject it. If a light is approved, a signed form will be returned to the person who submitted it.

 


Permanent lamp removal (delamping)

Energy-efficient lighting on the farm saves energy and money, boosts productivity, and improves the environment for livestock.

Requirements:
- Permanent lamp removal can be claimed if completed project results in a net reduction in the quantity of lamps. Delamping must be accompanied with lamp and ballast replacement/retrofit. The total number of lamps claimed for delamping cannot be more than the number of replacement lamps installed. Fixtures that are delamped in entirety must also be dewired from the system and the ballast(s) completely removed in order to qualify for rebates.
- High bay delamping is based on total number of watts removed from the system
- T12 or T8 = $0.50 per foot
- High Bay = $0.05 per watt
