To help facilitate the connection of our customers and prospective customers, we have identified Alliant Energy Growth Sites throughout our service area. Generally, these sites have a minimum of 80 acres, are served by Alliant Energy electric and/or natural gas, and are development-ready. Many sites are larger than 80 acres and some are rail served. Some Alliant Energy Growth Sites are not only served by Alliant Energy, but are being developed by us as well.

Big Cedar Industrial Center
Ready to build, the site offers excellent topography, good utility access and a well-trained and dedicated workforce with a Midwest work ethic.
1,300 acres of opportunity
Alliant Energy’s Big Cedar Industrial Center is comprised of 1,300 acres under option control on the southwest edge of Cedar Rapids. Work is already underway to make this Iowa’s first certified Mega Site. The site offers natural pads of 400 contiguous acres for development, while additional site engineering will create pads of 800 acres or more. The agricultural land is priced at $30,000 per acre.
Connected to anywhere
This site shines with its convenient access to transportation. The park is served by CRANDIC, one of America’s premiere short-line railroads with connections to every Class I railroad. It’s also located near the Eastern Iowa Airport, Interstate 380 and US Highways 30 and 151.

This is a 153 acre Iowa certified site available for lease only. The site could be leased for up to 50 years. The site is directly adjacent to 103 miles of rail connected to the BNSF mainline. About the site
The Lincolnway Industrial Rail & Air Park is a developing rail park on the west side of Clinton, IA. The park is located adjacent to U.S. Highway 30 and the Clinton Municipal Airport. The Union Pacific East-West Mainline runs to the south, with a dedicated spur running into the park. Targeted industries for the Clinton Region include chemicals processing, metal fabrication, and value-added agriculture. Site certification was obtained in December 2016, in partnership with McCallum Sweeney Consulting and the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
