Statement following fatal vehicle accident in Wisconsin

Around 9:20 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020, an Alliant Energy employee driving one of our utility trucks was involved in an accident with another vehicle. The accident occurred in the Lake Wisconsin area in the town of Dekorra, resulting in the fatality of the driver of the other vehicle and his dog.
We are keeping the individual’s family, loved ones and friends in our thoughts during this very difficult time.
We’re cooperating with local officials in their full investigation of the accident. The safety of customers, employees and the public is Alliant Energy’s first priority.
Alliant Energy is also conducting its own internal investigation.
