We've launched our first community solar project

The Alliant Energy® Community Solar program is open for enrollment! We started the program with our first project, which will be located near Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Wisconsin electric customers can enroll on a first-come, first-served basis.

Community solar is community funded and provides an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of solar without having to install panels on your property. After an upfront subscription, you receive a credit on your monthly electric bill for the energy from the blocks you purchase. The credits begin once the facility is in service and will last for 20 years. 

The Fond du Lac solar project is the first of what is expected to be multiple community solar locations across Iowa and Wisconsin. Community solar will be available for enrollment in Iowa in 2021. Call 1-800-ALLIANT (800-255-4268) to learn more and be placed on the waiting list.
