Be energy efficient this holiday season!

Keep your holidays festive and energy bills low with some innovative, energy-efficient options.

More kitchen appliances have wireless capabilities such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which allow control from a smartphone or learning thermostat. You can preheat your oven as you drive home or even control the inside via voice command. 

Or, try a convection oven. On average, they use 20% less energy than a standard oven. If your holiday budget does not allow for these choices, there are other ways to make your holidays festive and energy efficient:

  • Food prep should be done before appliances are used.
  • Defrost food in the refrigerator. 
  • On the stovetop, use the right size pan. 
  • Flat-bottomed cookware creates more contact with heating elements, which is more effective in heating a pan. 

    Don’t go with the most obvious appliance. Microwaves can heat in a fraction of the time of an oven – and they are cheaper, too!

We’re available at 1-800-255-4268 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is important to keep current on payments during the winter so you’re not behind in the spring.
