Our commitment to advancing renewable energy is nothing new and our diverse portfolio of generating facilities ensures we deliver reliable energy to our customers. The investments we make today are creating tremendous value for customers now and in the future.
As we look to the future and evaluate our planned investments, we are updating our goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions from our fossil fuel generation to include additional reported greenhouse gas emissions. This includes adding an 80% reduction target by 2040 from our utility operations, which covers methane emissions emitted by our natural gas distribution business.
