Dear Friends of the Alliant Energy Foundation,

The mission of the Alliant Energy Foundation is to improve the quality of life in communities where Alliant Energy has a presence. Supporting cultural and arts organizations across our service territory is an important part of the mission.

Indeed, we know that the arts – in their many forms – enhance diversity and make our communities exceptional places to live and work.

Tim Heinrich

For many years now our primary source of support has been financial, and we’ve provided millions of dollars to support hundreds of worthwhile causes and organizations through our Community Grants, Matching Gifts, Volunteer and other philanthropic programs. We also recognize t he important role that our Foundation can play in helping strengthen non-profit organizations by encouraging collaboration, providing educational opportunities and simply sharing ideas from one group to another.

And so it is with the goal of helping to strengthen and sustain the non-profit cultural and arts groups in our service area that we invite you to visit Madison this fall to participate in our first-ever “Art Partnerships” program, hosted by the Alliant Energy Foundation. We envision an opportunity for per forming and visual arts groups, museums, educators and others to spend the day with their compatriots to share ideas, learn something new and forge new relationships that will help the arts in Alliant Energy’s communities continue to grow and thrive. As an added bonus, the site for the day’s program is the Overture Center for the Arts, a magnificent new, world-class facility in downtown Madison,Wisconsin.

We hope you will join us on Wednesday, November 8, for a day of fun, learning and fellowship as we gather to celebrate the important role that the arts play in our communities. See you then.

Tim Heinrich, Executive Director, Alliant Energy Foundation
