United Way
Local United Way organizations throughout Alliant Energy’s utility service territory received a total of more than $560,000 in financial support from the Alliant Energy Foundation in 2006. These contributions reflect a portion of the amount pledged by Alliant Energy employees and retirees through the company’s annual United Way campaign. The contributions are directed to local United Ways in nearly 80 communities across the service area to support human needs organizations and United Way programs in those areas. Since its formation in 1998, the Foundation has contributed nearly $4 million to United Way organizations. |
