Wisconsin Business Incentives

The Focus on Energy Business Programs help Wisconsin businesses, industries, farms, schools and local governments identify and install energy and cost-saving efficiency measures.

Focus on Energy teams up with trade allies around the state to offer energy-efficient equipment and services to our Program Partners. Trade allies that join become “Program Allies” and include contractors, manufacturers, architects, retailers, engineers and other professionals who produce, sell, design and/or install energy efficiency and renewable energy measures and practices.

Agricultural sector

Farmers and agricultural processors work with energy experts to reduce energy, increase profits and maintain animal comfort and productivity.

Activities that target rural communities and seek to expand their participation in Focus on Energy are also managed in this sector.

Commercial sector

Small and large commercial business owners learn to improve the energy efficiency of their facilities. Focus on Energy works with retail stores to provide instant incentives on ENERGY STAR lighting and appliances.

Businesses may also qualify for a free Hometown Energy Audit. We also offer incentives on a wide range of different types of energy-efficient equipment.

Industrial sector

Owners and managers of industrial manufacturing facilities of all sizes work with experts to reduce energy use, increase profitability and enhance productivity and cost effectiveness. We work with manufacturers to improve both existing facilities and construct more efficient new ones.

Focus on Energy also offers incentives to reduce the cost of efficient new lights, motors and other types of equipment.

Schools and government sector

Schools (public and private K-12 schools and Wisconsin's technical and private colleges) and local governments (village, town, city and county) learn ways to save energy and reduce energy costs while keeping occupants comfortable and productive.

Focus on Energy works with schools and local governments to improve existing buildings and install new energy-efficient lighting, heating and cooling equipment.

Energy-Efficient Products Program

This program helps Wisconsin manufacturers and distributors of energy-efficient products increase their sales of these products statewide, nationally and internationally.
