The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally-funded initiative that helps low-income households with the costs of energy used for home heating and cooling.

How do I apply?
If your household income falls within the income ranges listed above, contact your local community action agency within the application deadline. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

You'll need to provide your Social Security number, a copy of your most recent heating and electric bill, and proof of your household's gross income for the past three months or for the past calendar year.
