Payment Arrangements and Extensions
If your bill is past due or you're having trouble making ends meet, we can work with you on a payment arrangement. We can help you with a manageable payment amount and schedule. We will consider such factors as:
• Your ability to pay
• The size of your past due bill
• How long your bill has been past due
• Your payment history
• Reasons your bill is past due
Another option is a payment extension. Sometimes it’s just a matter of too many bills coming due at the same time. Call us and we can arrange to give you some extra time to pay your Alliant Energy bill in full.
Call 1-800-ALLIANT (800-255-4268) to speak to a Customer Service Representative about setting up a payment arrangement or extension.
Billing and payment options
Spread your cooling costs over the entire year. To determine the amount you’ll pay each month, we look at 12 months of your bills and calculate the average. You pay that amount every month instead of worrying about unexpectedly high bills.
Instead of receiving a paper bill, we send you an email letting you know when your bill is ready to view online. You can also pay your bill online with just a few clicks.
Have your utility bill automatically deducted from your bank account each month. No more writing checks, buying stamps and rushing to the mailbox. Your payment is on-time every month.
Instant Payment Options
Pay online or through our automated phone system. Call 1-800-ALLIANT (800-255-4268) to make a payment by phone.
Western Union® also offers several ways to pay your bill. Note: Western Union charges a transaction fee for this service.
