Wisconsin Farm Rebates

With help from Alliant Energy-Wisconsin Power & Light, you can invest in high-efficiency equipment or electrical wiring with little or no upfront cost.

Sfarm equipmenthared Savings

Shared savings is a service designed to help Wisconsin farmers buy energy-efficient equipment with no up-front cash investment.

  • Alliant Energy pays the purchase price.
  • You repay us through installment payments on your monthly bill, up to a five-year term.
  • The energy savings reduce your payment to Alliant Energy.

Farms or ag-related businesses are eligible if Alliant Energy supplies the electricity or natural gas on a retail rate basis for the applicable technology.

How does it work?

Alliant Energy pays the up-front costs for the improvements - a minimum of $5,000 per project. You pay back the cost of the project through monthly installments on your utility bills. Typically, it doesn't cost any more than you currently pay for energy. The energy saved can reduce your utility enough to cover the cost of the improvements! Once the improvements are paid for, your savings will go straight to your bottom line, year after year. With the right combination of equipment options, you can drastically reduce your energy bills.

What kind of technology qualifies?

Nearly any energy-efficiency improvement can qualify, but be sure to get Alliant Energy approval before you start a project. Some examples of qualifying equipment include high-efficiency milking equipment, heat reclaimers, ventilation systems, lighting, natural gas grain dryers and more.
