Insulation and Home Sealing

For Alliant Energy's business customers in Minnesota

Attic/ceiling/roof insulation
Rebate equals 70% of total cost* up to $5,000

Wall insulation
Rebate equals 70% of total cost* up to $5,000

*Customer-installed projects = insulation material + rental equipment; Contractor-installed projects = insulation material + rental equipment + direct installation contract labor

Insulation rebate amounts are calculated based on the cost per R-value per square foot of conventional insulation materials (e.g. blown-in loose-fill, blanket rolls or batts). No additional rebate is awarded for more expensive alternative types of insulation material such as spray foam.

Building sealing
Rebate equals 70% of total cost up to $1,500

Total Cost of contract labor, rental equipment and material up to a maximum $1,500 for building sealing (can lighting, air-tight sealing, caulking and weather stripping, etc.).

Multifamily insulation and sealing
Rebate equals up to $750

For multifamily dwellings, rebate is limited to $750 per dwelling unit for insulation and building sealing up to the limits noted for each insulation type above.

Note: You must complete a free Business Energy Assessment prior to installation to qualify for a rebate. Call the Business Resource Center at 1-866-ALLIANT for details and to schedule your assessment. All insulation claims may be subject to a post-installation, pre-payment project verification.

Must receive primary heating energy from Alliant Energy.
