Industrial Energy Applications (IEA) is a provider of competitive, customer specific solutions that provide electricity, steam and related services to industrial, commercial and institutional customers.

We utilize the most appropriate technology and fuels to match each individual customer's needs. We have proven abilities and experience in designing, financing, building, owning and operating combined heat and power (CHP), peaking and standby generation systems, as well as steam production facilities. Our solutions create energy savings and reliability for our customers.

IEA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation, a public utility holding company serving approximately 1 million electric and more than 400,000 natural gas customers. Providing its customers in the Midwest with regulated electricity and natural gas service is the company's primary focus.

IEA has 60 generation units operating for the purpose of standby power. Our largest markets include chemical product manufacturers, data processing centers, meat packing plants and aerospace component manufacturers. IEA also operates steam systems and propane backup systems.
