Serving the largest shippers in eastern Iowa for more than 105 years, the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Railway [CRANDIC] has a long-standing reputation as an efficient, safe transportation service provider. CRANDIC began freight and passenger train service on August 13, 1904. The company discontinued passenger operations in 1953, focusing attention on its short line freight business. Today, CRANDIC provides freight solutions to more than 25 eastern Iowa companies along its 60-mile route through Linn, Benton, Iowa and Johnson counties. |
