CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Fifteen graduating seniors have been named as recipients of the Children of Employees' Scholarship from the Alliant Energy Foundation.
The $1,000 academic scholarship is awarded to children of Alliant Energy employees and provides funding for their pursuit of a degree from a two- or four-year college, university or technical/vocational school.
“We are delighted to reward the success of Alliant Energy employees' children for their excellent academic records and achievements,” said Marty Fox, Executive Director of the Alliant Energy Foundation. “The Foundation is proud to support the educational goals of these young adults by providing a scholarship to help them with their higher education costs.”
The Alliant Energy Foundation has awarded scholarships to children of employees since 1985. The awards are based on academic record, participation in school and community activities, work experience and educational goals. Awards are renewable for up to three years or until a certificate or diploma is earned, whichever comes first. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
