It's easy to take the benefits of electricity and natural gas for granted. That's why Alliant Energy is committed to energy education for kids throughout our service territory. Through the new Alliant Energy Kids classroom curriculum, third- and fourth-grade students learn about the science of electricity and natural gas, the importance of conserving energy, and the relationship between energy and the environment. The lesson plans, developed by education specialists, feature interactive and engaging activities that address national standards in science, health and language arts. In-class presentations by Alliant Energy experts help reinforce the curriculum with question-and-answer sessions, group games and hands-on props. |
