Rockfarm Supply Chain Solutions relocated their corporate operations from Illinois to Dubuque, Iowa, bringing 48 new positions into the Dubuque job market. The company invested over $2.5 Million to construct their new headquarter facility at 300 Data Court in the Dubuque Technology Park.
“After the evaluation and strong efforts by both the states of Iowa and Illinois, we chose Dubuque as the new location for our corporate functions,” said Todd Colin, Chief Executive Officer of Rockfarm Supply Chain Solutions. “We think that a rapidly growing, technology-based company needs to be located in a professional setting like the Dubuque Technology Park. In addition, Greater Dubuque Development Corporation has developed several workforce attraction tools to fulfill our continuous need for talent to help our business grow.” noted Colin.
Rockfarm received $336,600 in financial assistance through the Iowa High Quality Jobs Fund from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Northeast Iowa Community College assisted with employee training funding through the Iowa New Jobs Training Program. The City of Dubuque also be delivered approximately $558,000 through use of Tax Increment Financing. Alliant Energy provided the architect and general contractor of the new facility an energy analysis during the development stage of the project to ensure that the building would have the most energy-efficient lighting controls, along with heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Alliant also approved custom rebates for the installation of the high-efficiency equipment.
