Alliant Energy promotes Agricultural Safety Training around Pipelines

Farmers, Land Owners, and Tiling Companies / Contractors encouraged to attend

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – January 31, 2013– Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), an Alliant Energy company, is participating in the Iowa Pipeline Association / Iowa One Call 2013 Agricultural Safety Awareness Program offered at locations throughout the state. The program is designed to inform and educate those who work in agriculture about working safely near underground utility systems.

Farmers, Land Owners, and Tiling Companies / Contractors are encouraged to attend. Representatives from Iowa One Call and the Iowa Pipeline Association will highlight the benefits of working together for a safer Iowa. The event will begin with a free breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with the program following. There is no fee to participate, but attendees should register online at iowaonecall.com.

There are four meetings spread across Iowa this year.
