Alliant Energy Foundation provides $2,500 gift to the Salvation Army of Greater Sheboygan

MADISON, WI – December 22, 2011 – The Alliant Energy Foundation is spreading a little extra holiday cheer to six non-profit organizations across Wisconsin through a year-end giving campaign. As part of that $13,500 initiative, the Foundation is providing the Salvation Army of Greater Sheboygan with a $2,500 gift to support the services they provide for low-income families and individuals during the holiday season.

“Each year, The Sheboygan Area Salvation Army, thanks to the generosity of our community, provides qualified area families with food, toys, blankets, hats, mittens and gifts to ensure a Merry Christmas for all,” said Major Alan Hellstrom. “We are deeply appreciative for this gift from the Alliant Energy Foundation.”

“Being able to assist our neighbors in need and make a difference in the communities we serve brings us great joy,” said Julie Bauer, Alliant Energy Foundation Executive Director. “The charitable spirit is strong around the holidays, and we’re proud the Alliant Energy Foundation embodies it the whole year through.”
