Alliant Energy Corporate Services, Inc. (AECS), as agent for Interstate Power and Light Company, has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for cost-effective wind energy projects from outside entities wishing to provide a portion of its future renewable electric power requirements.
The RFP is specifically seeking up to 100 megawatts of wind generation that is deliverable to Interstate Power and Light's electrical balancing area inside MISO. Acceptable proposals will be no less than 15 MW in size, and have a minimum term of no less than 3 years. Proposals will be accepted by AECS through March 1, 2013. Projects should be commercial no later than December 31, 2013.
